Patrick B. Ball, G.G., B.S. in e-Busness is the catalyst for continuing professional education for the Gemological Institute of America (GIA). He is the creator and host of Inside GIA Education, a bi-monthly audio Podcast available here on Mevio and free on iTunes.

This Podcast is at the core of a continuing education program launched April 2007 that updates our Alumni and graduates from GIA on Jewelry Industry trends.

Patrick's career with GIA began in Jan. 1987 when the former chairman of the board, Richard T. Liddicoat, asked him to join the Institutes staff. During his more than 24 years with the Institute, Patrick has served as a GIA On-Campus Diamond Instructor, manager of the GIA Resident Diamonds department, director of GIA Education in New York, director of the GIA Alumni Association, director of GIA Education Training, Director, of International Operations and currently serves as Gemology Instructor.

 Patrick travels the globe extensively as instructor trainer, guest speaker and ambassador for GIA. Hobbies include astronomy, photography, computers, bicycling and stretching the bounds of technology.
